Outside number 34 Westbere Road

Reported via mobile in the Road Defect category anonymously at 08:42, Friday 3 April 2026

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9233989.

When the road was resurfaced (mid last year), the speed bumps were refreshed. Now every time a large vehicle goes over them (for example the c11 bus) there is a loud noise — and the house shakes. This was never true before — and I have lived here for almost 10 years. The buses and the construction vehicles are the worst offenders. I can't say whether they're speeding or not, but a lot of them are going pretty fast — so speed may be a factor.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this? For example reducing the height of the bumps — and / or supplementing them with a speed camera?

Over time this noise and vibration will damage the structural integrity of my (and other) houses. I am also concerned by the speed of traffic for pedestrians in a residential neighbourhood — particularly that of heavy vehicles who use this as a cut through.

I look forward to hearing from you.

With best regards Tina Rotherham-Winqvist 36 Westbere Road London NW2 3SR
