Hampstead grove

I am writing to formally report a serious road defect and to submit a claim for damages caused to my vehicle while driving along Hampstead Grove on Tuesday, 10 February 2026.

On this date, my car struck a large pothole on Hampstead Grove, resulting in a burst tyre and a cracked wheel. The impact was significant and caused immediate and costly damage. I have since had to replace the tyre at a cost of £408 from Mobile Tyre Giant, and I purchased a replacement rim for £567 from eBay.

Please find attached the images and video showing the condition of the pothole, as well as the damage to my vehicle.

I kindly request that the council investigate this matter and advise on the process for submitting a reimbursement claim for the expenses incurred as a result of this road defect.
