Vodafone manhole cover, on southbound carriageway of Woburn Place near junction of Coram Street

Following workmen accessing it late last night, it has been left in a state that is causing a massive noise nuisance to residents of Russell Court. This is a busy road used 24/7, and every time a vehicle passes over it, the noise is equivalent to someone banging two metal dustbin lids together. It is impossible to sleep.

Furthermore, on closer examination, one of the the parts of the cover is rocking in such a way that is a clear safety hazard and possible risk to life for cyclists.

  • Thank you for your email.Vodafone have been identified as the owner of the noisy apparatus and are responsible for its maintenance. It has been reported to them and they have been asked to expediate all necessary remedial works.
