Dear Camden Team,
Since I joined Loscar as Security Manager, we have experienced multiple near-miss accidents caused by the tripping hazard shown in the attached photograph. We have been fortunate that none of these incidents have resulted in serious injuries; however, the risk remains significant.
It is evident that the pavement on the opposite property has been raised so that the entrance aligns seamlessly with the pavement, thereby eliminating any tripping hazard. In contrast, our property was not provided with a raised pavement, leaving us with an uneven surface that continues to pose a risk to guests, staff, and visitors.
We have held several internal meetings with our maintenance team to explore possible solutions. Unfortunately, due to the building’s Grade II listed status, our ability to make modifications are limited.
I kindly request your assistance in reviewing this matter and advising us on how you can help us effectively minimise the likelihood of a serious accident. At present, our doorman is verbally warning guests to take care around the step; however, this is not a sustainable or adequate long-term solution.
We would greatly appreciate any support in ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone who visits our property is of utmost importance to us, and your cooperation in helping us reduce this risk would be sincerely valued.
