Tree in Kelly Street

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8450669.

There is sign to pollard the trees. We strongly as residents believe this is not needed. Over pruning risk damaging the tree. We have actual issues with trees on our street (already reported) One is dead. On is at risk.

Please use the limited Camden resource addressing this more immediate issue Please don’t pollard our trees based on a schedule. If inspected, it will be clear no immediate need for pollarding

  • Thank you for your enquiry and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

    The trees you mention on Kelly Street are part of our 2 year pollarding programme. These trees are pollarded in connection with subsidence risk. If we do not pollard them this autumn/winter 2025/26 they would not be pollarded again until 2028/29 and unfortunately, we cannot take that risk.

    All trees in Kelly Street are due to be inspected as part of our 3 year health and safety and maintenance programme during 2026/27. Any dead/dying trees will be reviewed during this time.
