Flitcroft Street

Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 13:51, Mon 10 November 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8399073.

There are multiple cracks and dips in Flitrcroft Street that is allowing water to seep through and into the Phoenix Theatre. This is causing damage to the interior of the property including bubbling of the walls and a fast leak when there is heavy rain.

Updates

  • thank you for your enquiry Unfortunately the Council do not have to provide a waterproof surface to the public highway and does not accept responsibility for any water ingress into the sub-structure of any property. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that the vault is adequately waterproofed and that the structural integrity is maintained at all times in order that the structure can support the public highway.

Section 180 of the 1980 Highways Act requires that all vaults, arches or cellars beneath the public highway are kept in a good state of repair by the owner of the vault, arch or cellar, or of the property to which it belongs

    regards Andy
