Inadequate Lighting - Kilburn Pl Street

Reported via desktop in the Street Lights category anonymously at 11:01, Tue 21 October 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8321037.

Thank you for your response (through report : 8318442) and for replacing the faulty lantern. However, despite this repair, the overall lighting on Kilburn Place remains inadequate. With only three lanterns covering the entire street, there are still extensive dark spots that create unsafe conditions for residents and passers-by. These poorly lit areas continue to attract antisocial and illegal activities, making the street feel insecure and unsafe at night. I strongly urge the council to conduct a more comprehensive assessment of the lighting coverage and consider installing additional lanterns to ensure the entire street is properly illuminated and secure for everyone.

Updates

  • The Street lighting team has attended, and this has now been fixed and works completed. A full night time assesment in line with both the british and european standards was completed over night th trees triimed and 1 lantern put back in light. This is now lit in line with the current BS5489:2020

State changed to: No further action
