Apologies - it's the south side that I think the road marking is incorrect.

On the north side, there is a bus stop AND a bus stand - correctly marked in two parts.

On the south side of Russell Square, there is a Bus Stand (see flag sign) but the bay is incorrectly marked as BUS STOP (please see attached image).
