Fast growing trees - spreading, blocking pavements 98 Greencroft Gardens and in a few other areas on the street

Reported via mobile in the Other tree issue category anonymously at 17:28, Fri 1 August 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7966948.

I’m writing to report a concern about a rapidly growing tree species on council-managed land outside 98 Greencroft Gardens, NW6, and increasingly along the full length of Greencroft Gardens. The trees are spreading quickly, blocking parts of the pavement and spreading onto private properties.

While I cannot confirm the exact species, the trees resemble Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima), which is known for its ability to spread rapidly if not controlled.

I kindly request that the council: • Investigate the tree species in this area • Take appropriate action to control or remove the trees where necessary
