Outside 12 Kelly St NW1 8PH

Reported via Android in the Other tree issue category anonymously at 11:09, Fri 1 August 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 7964643.

The new tree was leaning over into the street as the pole had moved and the hessian tie had gone slack. We have tightened the hessian but the pole is too small and weak, and any decent wind may cause it to fall over again. It needs a stronger and longer pole (or two). It took 2 years to get the old tree removed and this new one planted and we don't want to lose it. Thank you.

  • Following up from 1 Aug. The new tree outside No12 Kelly Street is leaning further into the road and we are afraid all our efforts it will not grow straight. Ive tightened the hessian ties but the poles have moved again with the weight of the tree. The poles are too small and the ties are inadequate to the height and weight of the tree. It is starting to blossom and it would be a shame to loose it and have spent council resources in vain. It really needs stronger and longer poles for it to survive. I'd do it myself but don't have the money to buy a pole, or a sledge hammer to bang it in. See attached photos - but its a lot worse in real life than they illustrate.
