Tree roots pushed the pavement up , making an uneven steep incline , which is difficult for wheelhairs , and a trip hazard .

I would suggest raising the other stones around the peak , so it's rounder on top ,, and less pointy at the peak . that way the tree roots will not need to be damaged .
