Outside no 2 / The Hall School

Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 14:49, Thursday 3 July 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7804365.

New Tarmac applied a week ago at either side of the ‘Table’ ramp at the junction of Buckland Crescent and Belsize Park was left with a layer of ‘grit / chippings’ 20m in both direction. Cars are sliding across the surface trying to slow / stop / accelerate on / off the ramp. There are no warning signs about loose chippings. The is an accident waiting to happen and outside a school (Contractors also allowed chippings to block the nearby drain during works).

Updates

  • 2 motorbike drivers came off their bikes at this junction (photo available on request). And all the traffic being diverted from Swiss Cottage roadworks now also crosses this junction. Chippings now piling up more and covering important road markings.
