On Leighton Road between Leighton Grove and Bartholomew Road, quite near the postbox

Reported via desktop in the Other tree issue category anonymously at 10:28, Thursday 8 May 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7538876.

There is a crossing next to the tree that is used by school children on their way to and from Camden School for Girls - including my two daughters. The branch grown at the base of this tree has grown quickly recently so that it now blocks the view of oncoming traffic from pedestrians and, similarly, the traffic can't see pedestrians waiting to cross. So this is dangerous and this low lying growth should be removed before there's an accident. Thank you.

  • Dear Keith,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

I have scheduled for our tree contractor to remove the basal growth epicormic growing at the base of the tree outside 99 Leighton Road. The intention is for this to be completed in the next 2 weeks.

    Kind regards
