  • Dear Liz,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

I have investigated the matter and the Prunus laurocerasus was not scheduled for any works on our records. The removal of this tree from Council property is a breach of the resident’s tenancy and should be followed up accordingly. I have informed the Housing manager and as Gaisford Street is within a conservation area I have also passed onto the Planning Department to review.

I will be sending a letter to the resident of 82A Gaisford Street informing them that the tree was Council and within a conservation area and that the relevant departments will be following up with them directly.

    Kind regards
