Tree outside 33 Kelly St

Reported via desktop in the Tree touching building category anonymously at 18:13, Tuesday 25 March 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7337432.

This over-large tree is virtually touching my house and already hitting telephone wires. It was never pruned like the other trees in the street and blocks out nearly all our upstairs light. I have already pointed this out to Camden, who say that it is "fixed". This is unbelievable, and we cannot accept it. Maybe you are looking at the wrong tree. I have pictures but they won't upload to your website. Happy to forward them.

  • Thank you for your enquiry.

As mentioned in my previous e-mail trees within Kelly Street are managed on a 3-year inspection/maintenance programme and some trees on a 2-year pollarding programme.

The Prunus subhirtella 'Autumnalis (Flowering cherry) outside 33 Kelly Street is next scheduled for routine inspections/maintenance during 2026/27. We do not maintain trees for nuisance reasons such as blocking light however where necessary to help matters we would look at this at the time of routine inspections/maintenance. Please visit the councils tree webpage for more information www.camden.gov.uk/trees
