Manhole before crossing on road closest to The Gipsy Queen pub

The manhole cover has become loose over recent months and is now making a loud noise whenever cars drive over it.

The cover is located just outside The Gipsy Queen pub on Malden Road, ahead of the zebra crossing if you're driving on the left-hand side of the road with the pub on your left.

Updates

  • Thames Water have been identified as the owner of the noisy / defective apparatus and are responsible for its maintenance. It was reported to Thames Water and they have carried out necessary remedial works.
