Lack of Double Yellow Lines in South Grove N6 6BA

Reported via mobile in the Missing category anonymously at 16:10, Tuesday 4 February 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7085593.

The former 271 bus stand In South Grove N6 was decommissioned approximately 2 years ago and since then has been left idle. Camden Council put planters around the space to stop cars using it as a cut through and prevent accidents. At the same time it would have been good to have extended the double yellow lines to stop cars parking at the former bus entrance.

Currently cars park here as there are no parking restrictions and no lines at all. This is dangerous for pedestrians trying to cross the road and for cars pulling out of Pond Square onto South Grove N6 6BA. It has been flagged as a problem by Local High Street retailers and businesses and the Highgate Society and I offered to report it to Camden.

This has also been reported to SafeTravel@Camden with photos and map attached.

We ask that double yellow lines are extended from Pond Square up to the white zig zag lines for the pedestrian crossing at the junction of Highgate High Street and South Grove.
