On pavement outside 5 Jeffrey's St. NW1 9PS

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 18:07, Wednesday 8 January 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council 1 day, 20 hours, 10 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 6953084.

Air Tight Inspection Cover is cracked and pedestrians could fall in (& into our cellar/basement area) We do not see the requirement of this Inspection Cover as there is now nothing to inspect / requirement these days for it.

Updates

  • Category changed from ‘Manhole in the road’ to ‘Pavement Defect’

  • Please can you confirm when you will be paving over this cracked & not required air vent. This was originally in place 100 years ago to provide coal and is no longer of course needed. The cracked lid means that any pedestrian can fall straight down into the vault below and needs urgent attention
