50 Goodge St

Reported via desktop in the Drain is blocked category anonymously at 13:55, Monday 6 January 2025

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6938023.

We are ICCO pizza the restaurant at the Ground and Basement of 46 Goodge Street, London W1 T 4LU, we are in the Camden borough. For about 3 weeks now we have had water leak into our men's toilets which are in the basement directly under the street pavement. We thought initially it was our toilet but a plumber was called out and checked all of our piping and said that there was no problem and that he has seen this before where a blocked drain and/or cracked pavement is causing overflow and then leaking into our basement level and then of course finding a way out which seems to be in our men's toilet. The water is smelly and seems like drain water.

We have had to close the basement for customers as the smell is not good and it is dangerous as there is water leaking continually into the men's toilet.

I have reported the blocked drain that i located outside number 50 Goodge Street on the corner of Goodge Place, as it seems this is continually blocked as the street market vendors pour there waste oil etc down there. It says it has been checked but it is still blocked, I will attach a photo now.

I will also attach photos of the leaked water in the men's toilets at our restaurant.

Please please could you send to whoever you can think can help us get this resolved.

My mobile number is 07817 695 622 and I can be found daily during the week at ICCO. As well as the GM Alexandru.

Thank you so much in advance for your assistance.

Kind regards

Tamer Kamel
