40 College Cres, South Hampstead, London NW3 5LB

Reported via mobile in the Utility Boxes and Cabinets category anonymously at 23:33, Wednesday 25 September 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6516949.

There's a dodgy, probably unlicensed street vendor selling flowers. His van was reported for parking violations earlier in separate report. This vendor has hijacked local electricity supply, the cabinets door is half open and the wiring is exposed to elements. This person's flower stand is attached to the local fountain by couple of nylon strings that seemingly holds it in place. The electrical wiring then extends to overhead stall. All this is left there unsecured, literally a jumble of electricity wires. Person leaves his metal shelfs on the road next to his van reaching past his parking space. There are now stickers attached to the historic fountain... No idea how this was licenced by the council.

Updates

  • Inspector spoke with the vender and owner of the stall. Power supply was installed for his stall at a cost to themselves. This has now been refered to LB Camden Markets Team to confirm licence and power supply with the provider.
