Junction of falkland road and leverton street

Reported via desktop in the Transport Planning Referrals category anonymously at 15:50, Monday 9 September 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6453773.

I have previously reported a problem with pedestrian safety here and while the traffic jam has ceased as reported back by you there are still a number of cars using Falkland Road west as a cut through or using it correctly and then driving the wrong way down Leverton Street to get to Leighton Road. I am further concerned that today there was a street markings man I thought making the signs clearer but in actual fact deleting the AHEAD ONLY sign on the road. Also, and please mention this to the relevant department, I went away on Wednesday and there were NO road signs where my car was parked and when I got back last night there were yellow notices of parking suspended for today days in order for this work to be done. This is illegal and you have to give proper notice? I would also like to ask what is being done to improve the road markings here. The no entry sign turning left into Falkland Road from Leverton Street is small and damaged. We really have to make sure that these road markings are clear to avoid fatalities. I look forward to hearing back from you about this and would be happy to speak to a representative on site here if you would like me to show you the problem. Thank you. Cherry Cookson

Updates

  • Hi, I have re-catogorised / escalated, your report under Transport Planning Referrals. The Road Marking category is for faded & missing road markings that require repainting so it has come through to the wrong department. Kind Regards.

Category changed from ‘Road Markings’ to ‘Transport Planning Referrals’
