Behind traffic lights

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6334869.

This 7.5 tonne limit sign is obscured by the traffic lights so lorries can see it and illegally travel north up Highgate Road - it needs to be placed in a clearer way.

  • Barely - you can see from your own photo that it's obscured by the pole and you can see that on the approach it will obviously be hidden. Needs to be much clearer and/or an extra sign put in a clearer way for them to see on approach both before and after the lights. HGV trucks and coaches are barrelling up Highgate Road and onto Highgate West Hill on a daily basis - crushing gas and water pipes / creating high pollution/ danger to life - and this is the critical point to stop them.

  • This weight restriction sign needs to be made visible. This is a picture of the view drivers get as they approach it - the sign is behind a post. The HGV sign needs to be moved to where it is clearly visible.
