I am writing to bring to your attention an issue concerning the recent works on our street. Since the contractors began on the 28th of May, they discovered that the gas board had laid pipes precisely where the gully pot was intended to be installed. As a result, the contractors are now waiting for the gas board to return and relocate their pipes.

The delay has unfortunately led to the excavation site being used as a dumping ground, and stagnant water has accumulated. Additionally, there is currently a helium balloon tank placed over the hole, posing potential safety hazards.

With the new school term commencing in a few weeks, it would be greatly appreciated if these repairs could be completed promptly to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our area.

Could you kindly provide an update on when the gas board will be addressing this issue and when we can expect the repairs to be finished?
