Bottom of Camley Link pedestrian and cycleway

Reported via desktop in the Roadworks category anonymously at 12:47, Sun 4 August 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6313721.

There are works here being carried out by SB Civil Engineering and there is a large drop down to the pavement in Camley Street. It isn't safe for pedestrians and needs a ramp installed. It's also an important cycle route and could be reopened to cyclists if a ramp was installed

Updates

  • A crude tarmac ramp was being "installed" at lunchtime today (Monday 12th August). This consisted of a pile of tarmac straddling the curb. This looks to be incredibly difficult and dangerous to navigate for anybody with mobility issues. There was no signage or warnings to cyclists or people using mobility scooters etc.

Please rectify this as a priority, as this is a critical link for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • Temp ramp installed - advanced signage used to inform pedestrians

State changed to: No further action
