Lamp post opposite No. 26 Weavers Way

Reported via desktop in the Street Lights category anonymously at 14:23, Wed 3 July 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6186937.

A broken lamp post was removed two months ago but has not been replaced with a new one. We have been left with a dangerous, jagged lamp post stump covered in yellow tape surrounded by two plastic barriers. -The whole thing is a danger and an eyesore.

Updates

  • The street lighting team attended and made safe, and this has now been raised and referred with our term contractor for a new column installation.

  • Lamp post 5 in Weavers Way is still awaiting replacement. Dark streets as Winter approaches is not good for personal security. Also the area sees many electric bikes and mopeds speeding around this area and restoring the appropriate street lighting would make this area much safer

  • This lamppost has still not been replaced. Is a dangerous trip hazard, especially at night. Is also surrounded by two green barriers which makes it look even more unsightly and blocks the way onto a pathway. And wires are still exposed.
