Dear Camden Council,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to formally request the installation of a zebra crossing on Regent's Park Road, specifically at the entrance to Primrose Hill from the High Street. This particular entrance is one of the most heavily used, receiving significant foot traffic from the high street. However, the current crossing conditions are quite hazardous due to frequent speeding by cars around the corner.
This situation poses a considerable risk to pedestrians, including children, dog walkers, and parents with prams. There is a small reservation area dividing both lanes, but it is so narrow that only one person can fit at a time, often resulting in prams or other items sticking out dangerously into the road.
Many neighbours and dog owners have expressed their concerns about the safety of this crossing. We believe that a zebra crossing would greatly enhance safety for everyone, making it easier and safer to access Primrose Hill.
Could you please advise on the process for requesting the installation of a zebra crossing? If it would be helpful, I am willing to collect signatures from local residents to support this request.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your positive response.
Best regards,
Mrs. Cristina Yarr Garden Flat, 94 Fellows Road, London, NW3 3JG
