Junction of Bedford Avenue with Bloomsbury Street

Reported via desktop in the Damaged non-illuminated road sign category anonymously at 21:43, Wednesday 22 May 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6009066.

‘Keep Left’ bollard on island separating contraflow cycle lane from roadway badly impacted by vehicle. There are projecting broken metal and acrylic shards that are a danger to passing pedestrians and cyclists - see photo. I suggest it needs to be replaced.

The traffic cone in the photograph marks the place where a contraflow sign and signpost was similarly impacted. It had been removed but not replaced.

The same contraflow sign and signpost on the opposite corner has also been badly impacted but not replaced - see second photo. Better that signs be replaced and continue to be damaged by trucks unsuited to residential streets rather than cyclists injured.

  • The first issue should of been sent through under the category 'Bollards' / Illuminated Bollards, not Damaged Illuminated Road Signs, please can you resend it using the category in the drop down above so it gets reported to the correct department. The second issue, the damaged sign, has been escalated to the correct team. Kind Regards.
