Opposite 56 Delancey Street.

Reported via mobile in the Street Lights category anonymously at 11:54, Mon 13 May 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5965940.

This slow down traffic sign has not been operational since at least last year! I reported this months ago, you advised me that the order for new lights was pending. Why has this not been fixed yet? Unacceptable. There have been several serious accidents on this street, Delancey St in the past couple of months alone - from speeding traffic! These accidents caused by no traffic signs, have resulted in life changing injuries and possibly deaths, caused from this terrible negligence. I have reported it to the police and I will report it again. Inform them still nothing has been fixed! How can you possibly let this remain out of order?? There is no traffic regulation. Extremely poor. Which date is this finally getting fixed?? I will not hesitate to report this to a bigger government authority and the media.

  • I will contact Camden Council today and file a complaint about this. No response from you at all.

I will also update the police I am not receiving any acknowledgment for this report, they are aware of this issue and have also contacted you.

It is extremely poor not only has this still not been fixed, it is simply bulbs to replace. The fact this is broken and there are no traffic slowing measures on this street since at least last year, is to highly likely to blame for at least 2 very serious accidents on Delancey St in the past couple of months. 2 people were hospitalised from speeding traffic. I have been first at the scene to witness broken bones in serious collisions with pedestrians, motorbikes and cars. We have had to call emergency services, ambulances and police. The situation is even worse that this report has been unresponded to. I will have to feed this back to the local Chancellor additionally, if I do not receive an update by close of business today, 21st May 2024.
