I'm sorry I tried to upload photos but the system won't accept them. The pavement has recently been repaved here and during those works the contractors have removed original cobbles in the gutter and replaced them with tarmac instead. If you look at Google Streetview you will see that the cobbles underlie the table junction and are visible from the edge of the ramp onwards towards Carlow Street, matching those elsewhere in the road. The street is in a Conservation Area and the cobbles should therefore have been retained!

  • the sets where under the tarmac and have been removed to be cleaned they will put back in place as part of another project
