Copenhagen Crossing/Continuous footpath incorrectly marked

Reported via mobile in the Road Defect category anonymously at 07:22, Wed 13 March 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5704823.

Copenhagen Crossing/Continuous footpath on Brunswick Square is incorrectly marked with give way lines too far forward, they should be set back before the Continuous footpath as shown in the picture of Lansdown Terrace. Copenhagen Crossing/Continuous footpath gives the pedestrian the right of way when using the footway meaning that cars need to stop earlier to allow the pedestrian to clear the footway before they move on. With the lines being too far forward as in Brunswick Sq it puts the pedestrian in danger and at risk of being hit by a car. This is especially dangerous for visually impaired Guide Dog owners who's dogs would walk straight across this 'shared surface'. The lines need to be removed and repainted in the correct place.
