I just tripped up and almost fell over due to the metal bolt and pins sticking up from this manhole which caught my shoe as I walked over it. It is dangerous for pedestrians and will likely cause an accident (I was lucky not to fall) and is also a tetanus risk due to the metal screw which is loose. This needs fixing urgently.

  • hank you for your email. Thames Water have been identified as the owner of the noisy / defective apparatus and are responsible for its maintenance. It has been reported to Thames Water and they have confirmed to us the remedial works have been carried out.
