Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5673497.

Two 900mm x 900 mm manholes, quite sunken, with covers that need fixing because they make loud, banging, unbearable noises when vehicles drive over them. One is more damaged, making louder noise, the other getting louder each day.

    Too loud now. Each hole makes two very loud, banging noises. Please fix asap.

  • This problem was reported almost three weeks ago and still not fixed. Those two covers are constantly making such loud noises while thousand of cars dive over (each make two noises) day and night and it’s impossible to sleep.

  • Why is it taking more than six weeks to repair these rocking covers making banging noises? No updates at all.

  • It has been now over eight weeks since these noisy covers were first reported because they are affecting our sleep. They haven’t been fixed yet and we haven’t received any updates. What are we waiting here for? We will keep writing here until it’s been fixed.
