Near Staunton Hotel 1315 Gower street

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5586594.

Everytime a car goes by the manhole it rocks and the guests in the Hotel are complaining, this needs to be done now urgently. This cannot wait until March when Virgin media carry work here. The Guests I have are being woken up or cannot sleep at all.

  • Thank you for your email. Virgin Media have been identified as the owner of the noisy / defective apparatus and are responsible for its maintenance. It has been reported to Virgin Media and they have carried out remedial works under ref NK102-VM/CIP/464365

  • Virgin Media have confirmed that they do not have responsibility for this manhole cover. This has been sent to the Highways Team to make safe again to stop the noise. UCL have been identified as the owner of the defective apparatus and are responsible for it's maintenance. It has been reported to them and they have been asked to expediate all necessary remedial works.
