Junction of Jeffrey's St and Camden St

Reported via desktop in the Roadworks category anonymously at 12:00, Saturday 10 February 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5557927.

The Cycle lane entering Jeffrey's Street is being rebuilt. I reported the dangerous design and lack of drainage in my report 5184835 which you are rebuilding 10/2/24. My complaint is the new cycle lane has the same design faults namely sharp kerbstones one sloping at an angle. They have cut a slot in the road to help with drainage that if not covered with a grill will cause accidents when a bike wheel drops in it. If a grill is fitted it will become slippery and dangerous! Why did the designers just remove the fire gate and replace it with one lockable bollard then cyclists could enter Jeffery's Street safely and it would have saved a great deal on money!
