Weavers Way + Ploughmans Cl + Crofters Way

Reported via desktop in the Missing Road Sign category anonymously at 18:55, Sun 14 January 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5442059.

These roads connect the Barker's Drive with Camley street within the residential area of Elm Village. We have quite often seen cars racing through these streets. This driving behaviour is very dangerous for everyone around here, particularly, there is a primary school at the end of the Crofters street. Once a car almost ran into a delivery lorry while racing towards the narrow part of the Weavers Way.

This is also related to the report Ref 5314897 about the gate opposite Weavers Way 28 being repeated vandalised over the last two years, as the gate prevents cars to run through with high speed thus repeatedly damaged.

These residential streets should have a speed limit of 5 mph. A road sign reminding people the speed limit and there is a school ahead is a minimum requirement. On top of that, we need an alternative solution than the easily vandalised gate to keep everyone safe.
