This manhole was replaced in November 2022 after it had been reported as broken and noisy. The replacement fixed the issue until January 2024 and now the manhole appears to have sunk again and is noisily rocking every time a vehicle drives over it. The clanging noise is very loud and causing huge sleep disturbance to local residents.

  • Thank you for your email. Vodafone have been identified as the owner of the noisy / defective apparatus and are responsible for its maintenance. It has been reported to them and they have been asked to expediate all necessary remedial works.
