Street light outside the Costcutter butchers (western end of 141-153 Drummond Street i.e. the light at the 155 Drummond Street end of the building)

Reported via desktop in the Street Lights category anonymously at 14:36, Thursday 4 January 2024

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5394264.

Due to daily pigeon feeding in the area, pigeons are now regularly sitting on the arm of this street light and defecating on the top cover of the street lamp. This is a new lamp that has been fairly recently installed and is now in danger of being covered in pigeon faeces. Is it possible to install pigeon spikes on the arm to discourage pigeons from gathering?

Sorry, I couldn't find an appropriate category for this issue, so may have chosen the wrong option.

  • Thank you for raising this. The Camden Council Street Lighting team has now attended. We have now ordered pigeon spikes, that will be installed upon arrival. Please be aware this may take between 4-6 weeks. Please do continue to report any issues you see via the Fix My Street app
