Where the temporary traffic lights are located

The temporary traffic lights have been installed and operating for 3 days but no roadworks have started. The temporary lights are causing major traffic congestion and delays and it is a problem to have them in use for longer than necessary. This road is a major thoroughfare for ambulances coming from the depot to emergencies and it’s a hindrance to have temporary lights in place and they should only be in place for the minimum time needed. Is there an additional cost to the public funds to have the temporary traffic light infrastructure in use when roadworks have not yet started?

  • Thank you for reporting this issue. A site inspection was carried out and a fault with the sensors was found to be the cause which has now been rectified.
