Road outside tube station
Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 08:35, Sun 22 October 2023
Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5123706.
I was crossing the road outside the West Hampstead tube station at 6.55am. It was dark and I and tripped on the raised tarmac on the road. I went flying onto the road and into the path of a car. Thankfully the car stopped. I got up. My ribs were hurting so much. I thought I had broken them. This part of the road needs to be fixed right now, as I can see there have been several incidents here.

I saw a woman trip horribly on this spot and then almost get hit by a car this morning, similar to the above. In April my mother-in-law had a fall on this ridge in the tarmac and fractured her tibia and her wrist leaving to months of being immobile. The council is putting many people at risk of serious injury by wilfully not repairing this dangerous section of road outside West Hampstead tube station.
