Damaged road causing excessive buildings vibrations

Reported via iOS in the Road Defect category anonymously at 10:07, Thu 6 April 2023

Sent to Camden Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4405162.

My apartment is shaking excessively causing internal and external cracking due to the broken up and uneven road surface on Highgate Road. The road has been dug up repeatedly for G Networks and other reasons and last weekend there was more work I believe by the gas company. The result is that and heavy vehicle travels in the road such as a bus or van caused shocks that vibrate the old Victorian terraced building along Highgate Road. I believe that the road surface needs to be relaid to fix this issue and prevent further damage being caused to the building and it’s occupants.

  • I have had this issue as well, and it has been ongoing for over a year. I have contacted the council a few times but no action was taken.
